In this video, I want to show you a brand new feature that is available in PC-DMIS 2020 R2. This is 3D PDF printing that is now available. You can see in my program, I'm just highlighting one dimension. This is a flatness dimension, and I have a graphical analysis on the CAD model, and I also have point info for the individual points within the measurement of that plane. Let me show you the new option in printing now. I'll just go to File, Printing, and Report Window Print Setup. You can see there. This is the new option added in 2020 R2, 3D Portable Document Format, and I've selected that and generated a report that's on my desktop.

Let's close that and we'll take a look at my report in PC-DMIS first. There it is now. You can see I have the regular reporting of the flatness result, so 7 microns, in this case, and I also have a snapshot command of my graphical analysis for that flatness dimension. Let's take a look at the PDF report that I actually generated. This is what it looks like when you open the 3D PDF. It's a special function within Adobe. What this allows is if you send this to your customer, the customer can actually rotate the model, zoom in, and you can check out whatever you need to look at. It's no longer just a static 2D image. You have all the tools available to you within that 3D PDF viewer.

I've just started playing around with this. I actually don't know all of the functions yet. But when you mouse over your model, you can see we have options here for rotating, spin, even fly, whatever that means. I know some people are already familiar with this. It's just a nice new addition to PC-DMIS, and it was actually in very high demand, and this is in response to an Idea Center request. And it is now available in PC-DMIS 2020 R2.

Thanks for joining me, and we'll see you next time.
